The Antalya Archaeology Museum, located in the Konyaaltı district, is considered Turkey's largest museum. The museum was first opened in 1922 inside the Alâeddin Mosque; in 1937 it was moved to the interior of the Yivli Minaret Mosque; and in 1972, was transferred to its current building. The museum features 13 exhibition halls and 1 open-air gallery.
